Dr. Tyler Tapps, assistant professor in the Department of Health and Human Services at Northwest Missouri State University, was recently granted Research Fellow Status for the state of Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (OAHPERD) board and council.
He also received the Betty Abercombie Research Award, which recognizes scholars making noteworthy contributions to the scholarly enterprise and promotes scholarly productivity among professionals representing health, physical education, recreation, leisure, dance and sport.
